All About Bob

Bob was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania in 1948. He grew up in Redondo Beach, California. After graduating in Political Science from CSU, Northridge, Bob obtained a high school teaching credential with a minor in Economics. In 1980 he received a Master's Degree in Government from CSU, Sacramento. Except for two extended travel adventures, Bob and his wife Stacey have lived in Sacramento since 1972. They have two children, Sonya and Ross.

Bob started his income tax preparation and tax planning business in 1975. Later he added insurance products and mutual funds. Bob earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1983 and became a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) in 1985.

Bob specializes in helping socially conscious individuals, families and organizations work to meet their financial goals. He served as president of the Sacramento chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning from 1997-1998.

Between 1995 and 1997, Bob's commentaries appeared regularly in the Sacramento Bee's "Minding Your Money" column. From 1988 until 1992, he wrote an alternative financial column for the Suttertown News. Bob's financial, humorous and personal essays have appeared in more than a dozen publications including The Sacramento Bee, the Suttertown News, The San Francisco Examiner, Financial Planning, Comic Press News, Outdoor Family, Mutual Fund Magazine, Sacramento News and Review, Laf!, Sacramento Business Journal, Comstock's Magazine, and MsMoney.com

Sixteen months priot to his 50th birthday, Bob decided to develop, write and self-publish Tending Your Money Garden. Rather than spend time and energy seeking out a publisher, he started Rossonya Books in order to retain editorial control and meet his publishing deadline. Sixty-four cases of Tending Your Money Garden arrived at his office just eight days before his fiftieth birthday. In 2001, and expanded and revised Tending Your Money Garden was published with a new cover.
